Graham Stuart MP, Minister of State for Climate:-
Following the issue of 100 new licences for oil and gas exploration off the Lincolnshire and Norfolk coast, it is "actually good for the environment".
Marcus Aurelius, former Roman Emperor, philosopher and Stoic:-
"If it is not right, don't do it. If it is not true, don't say it".
When will this government learn?
ReplyDeleteWhen its too late probably.
DeleteI heard that too and thought ???? - not sure it counts as "locally produced" being better. Heard chickens have to be housed in Norfolk and Suffolk - what a pain for you
ReplyDeleteYou heard correctly, Sue.
DeleteI read an article about it just yesterday, and then this morning something (a few days old) about the blocking of a public information campaign intended to encourage people to save energy. Apparently the government is "idealogically opposed" to such things. There is such a lot to worry about at the moment, and my faith in those who have power to do something helpful keeps dwindling.
ReplyDeleteI share your feeling, alas.
