When I was a little girl in England, my grandmother fetched her mint out of the garden and we would chop it to make mint sauce. She would make a baked suet batter to go with the lamb, along with the usual roast potatoes and veggies.
Due to being born in the war I lived in various places, Yorkshire as a pre-schooler, Surrey, then Middlesex and then Berkshire before I married. In Canada we ended up in the same township for over 50 years and have lived in our present home for 33 years - stability at last!
