Sugar beet.. This will be harvested late autumn and early winter and sent to the sugar factory at Bury St Edmunds. It is an important local crop and grown extensively. |

Just Oil Seed Rape round here and a bit of wheat and sugar beet further away - that will make another horrible muddy road when it's lifted in the autumn
ReplyDeleteNo oil seed rape around here as I gather it needs a heavier soil. In the winter we’ll have lorries squeezing their way through loaded up with beet and potatoes.
